Busy Busy Busy...

Well I haven't updated in a while so I just thought I would drop in and say HEY! We have been soooo busy lately finishing our house. 2 weeks ago we got a new roof put on thanks to Trevor, Stephen and the other guys that helped! We ended up saving a TON of money doing it ourselves and frankly it looks pretty darn good. This weekend we are jack hammering some concrete in our back yard to fix a crack in our foundation and we are removing the concrete so that we can build decks there eventually. Within the next few weeks we will be getting new windows, siding, soffets, & gutters. We decided to go with a light gray siding and a darker shade of trim. Bye Bye brown house w/ purple shutters! I will feel soooo accomplished when the house is complete. We have 1 room upstairs that needs finished, a few spots of trim that need done and the basement as far as the inside goes. Outside after all the siding is done we just have some landscaping and decks to build and we will be good to go... Our house will finally feel like a home instead of a project! We will be able to get organized and feel like we just might make it living there for a little while longer... And who knows we might get to start our family there, even though I hope we are in a new house by then!

We are also getting ready to be in a wedding on October 3rd! Our friends Brent Dunnivent and Christy Shipps are gettin hitched! Trevor is an usher and I am a bridesmaid. I haven't been in a wedding since 2005 but I am enjoying it so far! They are pretty busy with their pre-wedding festivities. I am pretty excited about the Bridal Shower this weekend... I got a cake for her and it is going to look FABULOUS! I can't wait for her to see it. And I for sure can't wait for the bachelorette party. It's going to be a blast.

Trevor is still working at Iatan power plant and has heard through the grape vine that his work there might be done come October. We have had a good ride with the company he is working for and I am going to be disappointed that we won't be as "well off" as we have been lately... This is why we SAVE SAVE SAVE our money... You never know in the construction field when you just might not have a job anymore. He has been very lucky in the past finding work so I have no worries. He is officially a journeyman in the Carpenter's Union and we received an invitation in the mail last weekend inviting us to attend a dinner in honor of the apprenticeship completers! It is going to be held at the Hyatt Regency at Crown Center in Kansas City. They are going to have dinner and a dance and I am honored to know that my future husband had achieved this title in the Union. I am so proud of him :)

Our wedding plans are coming along... I have figured up all the tables that we are going to need and it's going to be crazy. We are going to have to barrow tables from the Church in order to have enough space for everyone to sit. I can't believe that the reception hall only has tables to accommodate such a small amount of people considering that the space is HUGE and really EXPENSIVE! I am going to be getting in touch with our DJ and Caterer here soon to get those contracts going and all the "Big" stuff will finally be complete... well almost!

Our First BBQ at our house!

On August 9th Trevor and I had our first BBQ at our home since we moved in about 3 years ago. There is still a lot of work to be done at the house but we thought we should invite our families and our friends out to enjoy our improvements. We bought a brand new Kenmore grill... It's blue of course because that's the best color ever! We had chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs and it was DELICIOUS! Trevor's dad, Mike, brought home grown corn on the cob from the Amish at Jamesport and fried it! YUMM.... We had my potato dish and some salad. Shantel brought fruit and some amazing peanut butter and chocolate brownies! My mom brought cookies and cream cheese brownies which are to die for (even though they are store bought!) Our friends came new & old and it was so nice to just hang out and have a good time! Any time to enjoy good friends and good beer is a good time! Thanks to everyone who could join us :)

Babies!

So babies are a very common thing in our families! Trevor has a 7 nieces and nephews, and 2 more on the way! I have 1 but another one on the way! My aunt just had a baby, she is 8 months old and still in the NICU since she was born 5 months early. She is a little miracle. Today I am heading to the hospital right after work to spend the night w/ my cousin (aka my sister) Shony because she is being induced! Tomorrow we should have a little baby girl named Aislynn (ashlynn) spelling is Irish, and she is going to be a hand full just like her big brother! I am so excited and feel so blessed to have all of these wonderful children around me!!! Trevor feels the same way, he is a magnet for little kids. I guess it's because he is still a kid himself! I just had to blog about this because I think birth and kids are the most beautiful things God can give us! We also have 2 friends who have little girls and one of them has a little boy on the way! Lets just say that with all this baby comotion it'll be a while before we start having our own kids! We'll just hype yours up and send them home! haha...

Not too long and it will officially be 1 year until the wedding. We spoke w/ the new pastor at the church and he was wonderful! No Catholic conversion for me! We are going to have a basic ceremony, he called it a separate faith ceremony and he didn't have a problem w/ that at all. Now it's just going to take some convincing for the local Catholic church to let us do our marriage preparation there! Next week me and my mom are looking at stuff for centerpieces so that'll be fun too!!!

Talk to everyone later!

Our children...

So we have kids. HAHA DOGS that is... As most of you know Trevor's passion/obsession is hunting. Within the last couple years he has picked up coon hunting and a new dog... His dog's name is Clyde our original plan was to get a female and name her Bonnie. We now have 2 Walker Coon Hounds and instead of them being Bonnie & Clyde... it's Molly & Clyde. For my birthday this year Trevor got me a Walker of my own. She is 4 years old and ironically her name is Molly... our neighbors think that we are crazy when she gets out of hand because Trevor will be in the back yard yelling "KNOCK IT OFF MOLLY" one of our neighbors that we know really well thought that I was in for it when Trevor said "SHUT UP MOLLY" little did they know it was the dog he was talking to not me. HA!

This weekend we took our dogs and did a test run. They enjoy training! This is Trevor's dog Clyde

This is my dog... Molly. haha

Just an update!

So I haven't been on here in forever & need to update more often for sure! We are still in the beginning stages of planning this shindig!

Our church is booked, we are getting married in Conception Jct, MO... I believe it is called St. Columba Parish. A lot of Trevor's family & friends have been married there. At first I was skeptical because I didn't think it was fair to get married where all his family is and none of mine... Then I started trying to figure out the guest list and realized that hmm, Trevor's family is HUGE! We are planning to send out 250 invitations and let me tell you... over half are all TREVOR'S! If this is anyone's day it is his haha. Just kidding. That day will be our day!

The reception hall is also booked, Younger Auction Gallery in Maryville, MO is where the reception will be held.

We are lucky to say that Harvey House Photography is going to be providing the photographer services for our special day. I am so pleased w/ Steffi Harvey and her work that we couldn't pass up the chance to book her. If you would like to see her work i believe the website is harveyhousephotography.com - I LOVE IT!

I bought the invitations already... hehe. I came across them at Target. I got 250 invitations & RSVP cards for $24!!!! They need to be printed on but oh well... It is going to cost about $70 to get them printed. I don't think that is bad at all & they match perfectly. I actually startled a customer in Target because i shouted when I realized how cheap they were!

I also already have my dress. That was a total accident. It was PERFECT and fit perfect & looked perfect and the price was perfect. I am lucky enough to have a mother that thought it was perfect too and bought it for me (Trevor wasn't happy about this but when you find the one it just can't be passed by)! I LOVE IT! It looks amazing even when it is just hanging in the bag :)

I have a few little things like the guest book & pen, all the bubbles & ribbon. I got 190 bubbles for 4.99/48. and the ribbon i found at a thrift store for .50 a brand new spool w/ like 100ft of ribbon or something!

Our colors are Navy Blue & Silver and the date it still August 21, 2010!!! 13 months yesterday and I will be Mrs. Molly Angle!!!!!! I am so excited!

Amazing Honeymoon Ideas!

You all HAVE to look at this website. There is a resort called Dreams. They are all over Mexico & the Dominican Republic. Trevor and I looked at the ones in Cancun & Puerto Vallarta Mexico. At the one in Cancun the room it right on a natural salt water lagoon where dolphins swim daily. Could you imagine waking up in the morning, looking out your window and seeing dolphins jumping RIGHT OUTSIDE YOUR WINDOW!!!!!!!! Then the one in Puerto Vallarta has a sea turtle program where you go help release the baby sea turtles into the ocean. How great is that??? We looked up the Honeymoon pkg and it said it was $769 USD. Now I am not sure if that is a per night rate (which would be outrageous) or if that is a flat rate for a certain amount of days. If so we are TOTALLY going to one of these! TAKE A LOOK!
